The Emcore/Force Model 2800 1RU Front Panel Rack-mount Kit is designed to allow up to five modules of certain fiber optic products to be adapted for use in a standard EIA 19" rack. This allows for dense packing of fiber optic modules, reducing the space required for installation. Unit status indicator LED's are still visible from the front of the panel, and all connections are made to the rear of the units.

The unit offers exceptional analog bandwidth from 5 MHz to over 250 MHz allowing transmission of all sub-band channels, low-band channels, FM channels, mid-band and h-band channels. (i.e. Channels T7-T13, 2-6, A5-A1, AI, 7-13.) The units may also be used for 6 MHz TV IF (45.75 MHz) and satellite IF (70 MHz) transmission. The CATVLinx® Series Force/Emcore, Incorporated Model 2802 10 Channel VSB/AM Video Link provides a high-quality system for transferring up to ten video channels over single-mode optical fiber with complete EMI immunity. The unit offers exceptional analog bandwidth from 5 MHz to over 250 MHz allowing transmission of all sub-band channels, low-band channels, FM channels, and mid-band channels. The lowest high-band channels may also be accommodated. The best performance will be achieved when the channel plan is designed to contain all of the channels within a single octave of bandwidth.

The Emcore/Force CATV® Linx Model 2804 110 Channel CATV Professional Distribution System (PDS) transmitter for transferring up to 110 channels of VSB/AM modulated signals over a single-mode optical fiber. The system is also suitable for transferring 80 CATV channels along with 30 digital QAM channels in the upper frequency range. The Emcore/Force Model 2804 provides 40-870 MHz of usable bandwidth for video signals stacked at 6 MHz intervals. A low loss single-mode fiber allows full channel loading to beyond 20 km while maintaining a good carrier-to-noise ratio. A key power lock ensures the transmitter cannot be accidentally turned off, and a blue 7-segment LED readout allows the user to monitor a number of system parameters.

The CATV® Linx Emcore/Force Model 2805-110 Channel CATV Private Network Solution (PNS) transmitter is part of a robust system for transferring up to 110 channels of VSB/AM modulated signals over a single-mode optical fiber. The system provides 40-870 MHz of usable bandwidth for video signals stacked at 6 MHz intervals. A low loss single-mode optical fiber allows full channel loading to beyond 20 km while maintaining a good carrier-tonoise ratio. The emcore/Force Model 2805 may be used with the Emcore/Force Model 2807 mini-node receiver for use in return path and multiple splitter applications or with the Emcore/Force Model 2808 receiver for basic 110 channel CATV transmission. In all cases, the link provides excellent performance for many demanding applications such as broadband LANs, distance learning, and multiple data services.

The system utilizes a cost-effective coax cabling configuration to distribute the RF signals from the dish to the transmitter and from the receiver to the headend. The single-mode optical fiber between the 3005 transmitter and receiver allows transmission distances to 2 km at 1310 nm. The transmitter has the ability to supply LNB power at the remote dish site, there by decreasing the need and expense of additional equipment. A front panel mounted switch allows the user to select between +13 Volts and +18 Volts or disable the LNB power. RF alarm and indicator LEDs allow for a quick assessment of the link's operational status. The Model 3005 L Band Transport System, whether used in an antenna remoting application or in a satellite distribution role, provides for transmis-sion of the entire L Band spectrum in a simplified, flexible installation environment at one of the lowest costs found in today's market.
